What's inside a Starry Box with StyleKorean by qborero

StyleKorean produced curated box since last year and almost every month they have a new box to love. This month I have the Starry Box that made my skin feels more moisturized and cleaned. Let me share you what's inside the Starry Box.

[Pyunkang Yul] ACNE Facial Cleanser 120ml *Original Size*: Made for acne-prone and sensitive skin, this hypoallergenic facial cleanser is infused with white willow bark extract to exfoliate dead skin cells, forsythia suspensa fruit extract to decrease inflammation and centella asiatica extract to rejuvenate skin.

Take a moderate amount and lather it up. Massage over the entire face in rolling motions. Wash off with lukewarm water.

Etude House Double Lasting Foundation with StyleKorean by qborero

Are you a big fan of the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation but is looking for a perfect dupe? Then, you should be happy because in this blog I am gonna be sharing the perfect dupe for Estee Lauder.

Etude House Double Lasting Foundation is my go to foundation when I was in College. But when I ran out of it, I tried some other foundation. Upon looking for a perfect foundation at www.stylekorean.com, I saw this marvelous holy grail product and I was so happy since it has a darker shade which is Tan. In the Philippines, the darkest shade available in Etude House stores in the shade sand, which is too me a bit lighter and a bit gray.

The packaging comes in a frosted glass bottle and it has a pump. You can control the amount of product you are to dispense because the pump is very efficient. As for the smell, it smells like your usual foundation, nothing too special. The color selection for this product is a bit varied and I like that it has yellow tone shades. When I first had it, I got it on the shade sand, and now I got it on the shade tan. I wish I can try the amber but is was out of stock at the moment I purchased.

The finish of this foundation lies between dewy and matte, maybe a little bit of a velvety satin. The coverage is medium to high, but on me with two layers, it gives me medium coverage. I don't like to layer it up to three or more because it tends to be a bit cakey. I highly suggest you use a brush for a fuller coverage and a sponge for a seamless finish.

Do I recommend this? Yes. Is it like the Estee Lauder? Maybe a little, but the coverage is not that full compared to the Estee Lauder. Is it worth the price? Yes!!

Eyeliner Basics with StyleKorean by qborero

Are you the type of girl who cannot live without lining your eyes? Then you should know that there are three basic forms of eyeliner out in the market. These are the pen, gel and liquid types of eyeliner. For me the easiest to work with is the pen type with a fine tip. I can easily draw a cat eye with it. I also like the gel type for a thicker cat eye look. On the other hand, I use a liquid type of eyeliner when I do my heavy full glam makeup to last longer. Below are some tips you can work with eyeliners:

1. Hold your eye for more control. It is as if you are stretching your eyes to have a higher precision.

2. Choose the proper color. Usually eyeliners are black but you can actually use more differentiated colors like brown and gray. Koreans mostly use brown eyeliners.

3. Do not forget to blend. Blending is always the key to make your eye look proper and not sharp.

4. Line in your waterline in nude for bright eyes. I use a skin tone color to line my waterline for my eyes to appear bigger and alive.

5. Trace your way to a flawless cat eye.

6. Line your eyes with pencil first then liquid eyeliner for precision.

7. Fix your mistakes with a cotton swab and put concealer on it.

8. Make sure your liquid eyeliner is dry before opening and closing your eyes. I use the Etude House Oh My Eye Liner because it lasts long and dry fast.
