This acne treatment is made up of two layers. The upper layer is a yellow liquid containing glycolic acid, salicylic acid, triclosan, dimethyl sulfone and Coptis japonica makino extract to fight acne. The lower layer is pink calamine powder which helps to soothe skin.
You dip a cotton swab into the unmixed layers, down to the bottom of the bottle, and pull it out. The swab should therefore be covered with a layer of calamine sandwiched between the yellow liquid. When you apply it onto the troubled spot, the yellow liquid will first draw out sebum and disinfect the area, followed by the pink layer that provides a soothing effect. The second yellow layer acts as a finishing touch to shield off bacteria.
Don’t shake the bottle! If you accidentally mix the layers, it’ll take around 2 hours for the powder to settle at the bottom. Also, remember to dip your cotton swab slowly so it can soak up the contents properly without disturbing the layers. Always use a fresh swab each time – don’t double dip! Apply it only on troubled spots and let it dry before going to bed.
